First of all, my part time request got approved and I will be working 60% when I return to work! Praise God! That means only 3 days a week and I am thrilled! I believe it will be the best balance for me right now and I hope I settle in to it nicely. Today was my first day back and while it was only a half day it was so hard to leave this morning. Greyson had the day with Stephen and I knew they would do great together but it was still hard to go.
Also Greyson has started rolling... well not quite. A couple weeks ago I had just finished feeding him and he fell asleep so I took the opportunity to take a shower. He was all cuddled up nicely in a blanket on the couch (the back of the couch) and I was certain he would sleep the whole time I was showering. However, when I got out of the shower I heard him crying which is not uncommon but as I came into the living room his cry was muffled and I was shocked and horrified to see him wrapped in the blanket on the floor! I felt like the worst parent in the world that I didn't tell anyone about it for 2 days. Later I was telling Melissa about the whole thing and realized there was no way he could have rolled off the couch since he would have had to roll more than 1 time and it couldn't have been an accidental rolling... suspect = Lilly. Yes, Lilly likely pulled him off the couch. Either she was curious and came over to the carpet (which she is not supposed to do), or he was crying and she tried to come to the rescue. Either way, when I came in the room she was innocently sleeping on her bed. Poor guy :( he seems to be ok though and it's likely not the last of the falls he'll take in life.
