Gender Revealing Party

Our family and friends gathered to find out if it's a boy or girl! We took the results from the ultrasound in a sealed envelope to a bakery and got a cake with blue/pink filling to reveal the gender.  It was so fun to find out the gender with everyone there.  Most people voted boy - and they were right!  I had thought it was a boy too and was quite relieved it was since I knew Stephen wanted a boy to carry on the Carlile name.  I could just imagine myself with 7 girls and Stephen saying we need to try one more time for that boy! haha :) Here are some pictures from the festivities!

Planning or lack thereof...

So we are having a baby boy... and we have done nothing to prepare! At 18 weeks (almost half-way there!) you may imagine with my organized personality and endless need to plan things that I would have done something - anything.  And most people ask questions that make me feel even worse about this like: What's the NAME? Have you registered? What is the design for the nursery? Is it painted yet? Do you have this and that... and it goes on and on.  But interestingly enough I have done nothing yet, yes nothing.  This is perhaps due to the fact that I am not really showing (in public that is), haven't really felt the baby moving around, and it just doesn't seem real that I am having a baby.
